HOW MUCH WILL HAND BOMBING ADD TO MY BILL?
What is Hand-bombing, and how much extra will this service cost? Urban Definition: When working in a warehouse, moving stock from a truck to a skid by hand, usually in a quick, orderly manner. The non-driving labor involved in loading and unloading the truck with your items and cargo, is what we call it in the business, hand bombing.
It is usually the most difficult part of the job, but our professional movers, on arrival, will be ready to hand bomb your belongings and cargo onto our moving vans and delivery trucks for safe transport and unloading.
Simple moves with small to medium sized cargo may not require a lot of time and labor, but some moves may start from high-story condo or a congested basement, etc., and will be more complicated and lengthy.
During this hand bombing process, our movers are working for an hourly rate, so moving estimates will always vary because every move is unique.
Fortunately, the rate for hand bombing is included in your moving estimate, and will vary depending on the amount of hands hired for the move.
A smooth move usually comes down to good organization and planning, so all efforts should be made to keep hand bombing time down to a minimum.
tailgate costs
Allows easy drop off and unloading, avoid the massive hand bombing needed as an alternative.
Needed for heave and large items too awkward to be manually loaded or removed from truck to ground level by traditional hand bombing.
A tailgate or hydronic lift is essential for safely moving large and
heavy-weighted items. If we use our lift, an extra fee is applied to
your invoice.
In situations where customers do not have the convenience of a loading port or shipping-receiving dock, a truck needs to be equipped with a hydraulic lift.
TYPICAL TAILGATING COSTS are charged per lift but in some companies will usually flat rate out this fee.
Typical charges for use of a trucks hydronic life will range from $15 per lift use to $80 per lift.
FUEL SURCHARGES
Due to surging fuel costs, we may charge a small fuel surcharge fee to compensate our fuel purchases. This fee, if necessary, will be itemized in your estimate. When fuel costs return to the norm, FLT will no longer employ any fuel surcharges.
mileage fees
For deliveries outside the GTA, fee charged of $1.50 per kilometre from pick up location to the destination address. Please note this is a separate and additional fee charged atop the FLT hourly rate for your move.
If we do a 4 hour move for example, you pay a base fee of $400 at a $100 per hour rate, but then your outside of the GTA gas one-way gas fee is applied; so if the distance is 50 kilometres outside of the GTA, then your new total moving cost is $475.
